Julie Everhart –
Fine Art and Photography
Growing up in Pennsylvania, Julie spent her early years showing a great passion for music and beauty. Today, she continues to pursue those passions. Fortunately for us, she discovered years ago that photography was her obsession. Creating numerous oil paintings and working extensively in the digital art world creating Fractal Artwork, and running numerous forums and groups, she has developed a very large following. As many photographers of the day, she began sharing her photography on Flickr, and was almost immediately asked to travel to Atlanta to do an exhibition of her work. Being new, she graciously declined the offer as she knew her skills were improving daily, and she didn't want to rush and have less than her best work on display.
Since then, she has amassed nearly 2 million views on that site alone. Julie has since found confidence through the continued support of fellow photographers and artists, and has been published many times including the cover photo for the state of Vermont for both their Fall Foliage website and their 2014 Fall Destinations Magazine. Since October 2015, Gov. Peter Shumlin of Vermont has used one of her photos as his cover photo.
In her studies of Art and artists, she has found a great kindred spirit in the works of Monet, Van Gogh, and especially Picasso. She is described by many now as the Infrared Queen, and known internationally for her landscapes like no others.
Today, Julie lives on the East Coast of Florida and travels frequently, continuing to document her life and journeys through photography. Since 2008, she has been selling her works online. These items can be found in the "Wearable Art & Gifts" link. In 2014, she and her husband decided to expand their studio to provide the quality of work they have both spent their lifetimes developing. As founders and owners of From Camera to Wall, these two set out to provide you with the highest quality products, aware that it is their reputation that goes on the line with every project they complete. In her years of sharing and networking online, Julie has gained quite a reputation as being the "Friendly Photographer" as she always responds to any comments or critiques, and constantly thanks her supporters. As all of the works shown in this website are available for purchase, along with countless others, please contact Julie to discuss the opportunities. See for yourself if this reputation is deserved!
Bob Blankenship – Fine Art and Photography
In 1976, Bob began his serious photography work as a high school student after acquiring his first Minolta SRT-201. His work in the late 70's and early 80's was published numerous times and won many honors and awards. By 1980, the depths of this affliction became evident when he required a second bathroom in his solo apartment just to have a permanent darkroom. Having studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, he started a career of Robotics and communications. Fast forward through years of working “real jobs”.
Bob never lost touch with his desires, and continued his studies and converted to the new world of digital photography. Shooting primarily landscapes and nature with a great love for macro work, he has now gone full circle. In 2014, he purchased his first (and second through fifth) film cameras in almost 20 years. Cutting his photographic teeth with bulk loaders, tanks, and enlargers, and having spent too many years without the aroma of the developer, Bob is now shooting 35mm, medium and large format once again – developing and scanning his work into the computer and utilizing the digital age for editing and printing.
Of course, his DSLR collection of Nikon cameras continues to be well used! But, no darkroom? “Don't get me wrong – I still love the art of the darkroom and the magic that can be created there.” Bob says "It's really about longevity and real estate. Dark rooms require a tremendous amount of space, and heaven forbid anything happen to the negative! Once digitized, it's amazing how many photos you can now store on the head of a pin! With pigment inks offering 200+ year lifespans used with rag papers, the quality and archival abilities rival anything that you can do with Silver Halide." So after almost 40 years of “practice”, Bob decided in 2014 to join his wife in expanding their studio to create their work in house from start to finish. It's the only way to ensure the quality is maintained throughout the process. Of course, printers like their 44” Epson and Canons thrive on use, and wither on inactivity. Most photographers want good quality prints, but have either no desire to give their files to somebody across the country to be printed, or to wait for the delivery of their masterpiece hoping that it was done right. Combining these elements, we now offer fellow photographers and artists a local solution that understands the artistry, has the experience, and will work with them to have their dream print or canvas become a reality with the ability to preserve it and display it for generations to come.
